You know it's officially summertime when festivals and other fun outdoor events begin popping up all around town. The Columbus Arts Festival, held in the Discovery District downtown, is one such event that I look forward to each and every year. Perfectly situated next to the Columbus Museum of Art, the Columbus College of Art and Design and Columbus State Community College, the festival is a wonderful welcoming to such a great season!Packed full of local art, food and musical performances, any Columbusite will tell you it's a definite don't-miss affair. The Greater Columbus Arts Council was kind enough to post an events schedule online in advance for you festival-goers. Whether you prefer jazz, rock, country or funk...they've got it all! The 2009 Columbus Arts Festival will take place June 5th through 7th, beginning at 11:30AM and closing at 10PM on Friday/Saturday and 6PM on Sunday. Go here for more info (and go to the festival for an awesome time!).
