Short-Lived Decade Trends?

Hello all! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season and you all enjoyed your parties and celebrations. I definitely did! Now, unfortunately, it's back to reality...

I stumbled upon this article the other day and I thought it was very interesting. I'm not sure I agree with the from and to dates on all of these, do you? They seem a bit arbitrary to me. For instance, I LOVE my skinny jeans and will continue to wear them until the day I die (well, I might cease and desist once I hit 70, but that's beside the point). I mean, a lot of the "trends" mentioned in the article are classics, aren't they? Birkin bags, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, black suits for men, oversized sunglasses...all still relevant and often considered staples in most wardrobes (that is, if you can afford some of these top-name brands).

Additionally, I find it rather questionable that the author is labeling "size zero" as a trend. Was this really trendy?? Am I out of the loop?

Ah well. It's an interesting read, nonetheless. Check it out here.
